Project Objectives and Strategy

-main objective: to develop the sense of European citizenship
-objective 1: to develop their ability to use ICT means by online communication, photo and video editing
-objective 2: to meet and find out about each other's culture, historical sites and traditional background
-objective 3: to improve their communicative skills in the English language through direct communication during mobilities and through online applications such as Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
-objective 4: teachers to develop their teaching skills with the help of the computer and the new technologies
-objective 5: to create demonstrative lessons and activities using ICT and English language to be exchanged between all partners

Subjects:

- All participants must become aware of the main objectives and values, but also of the diversity of the cultural identities in Europe
- Both teachers and students need to learn to use ICT means at school and in their spare time
- Students need to improve their knowledge of the partner countries
- They need to improve their abilities to communicate in English using ICT means
- Teachers do not use the ICT means as often as they should

In order to achieve our objectives we will improve communication skills and teamwork, to make a better integration of the school. This will be done through the creation of a website in which all partner schools will share their experiences in the project. Communication between students will be achieved through the use of social sites, blogs and forums. We will encourage our pupils to develop the skills of their mother tongues and the learning of modern foreign languages through the composition of a multilingual dictionary, logos, slogans, poems and the transformation of traditional games specific to each region. We will encourage the development of pedagogical methods and materials, using the educational portfolio which will allow all teachers involved in the project to share ideas to be used during their classes. We will discover other countries’ lifestyles through the project meetings and presentation posters. We will gain knowledge about the educational system in Europe through the filming of demonstrative classes. We will recognize the cultural differences between European countries by the traditional cuisines. We will enhance the quality and the European dimension of teacher training through the evaluation of the project activities and the implementation of the good practice examples in the internal curricula.
